This page has a ton of information on copyright protection guides and tools for online publishing. They draw mainly from US copyright law, but many of the tips, tricks and tools can be used under any jurisdiction.

Cory Doctorow on commercial and cultural uses. This ties in very nicely with Jessica Litman’s recent lecture on “Rethinking Copyright”. Although I’m not certain I agree that the amount of creative reuse and appropriation is as much as Cory suggests, his article nicely illustrates the difference between cultural and commercial use of copyrighted work.
